As a child growing up there always seem to be a bird of some kind in our house, not until later in age did I realize there was such a bird that you actually talk to and they would mimic or at least try to! My first cockatiel was "Chuck" a beautiful grey bird with big orange spots on his cheeks, we treated him just like he was one of family.

I had him for a number of years, they say cockatiels live between 15 and 20 years in age. "Chuck" was lots of fun but eventually he made his way to heaven. I was heartbroken, so I went shopping for a new bird. I found "Shelby" in a pet store just singing his heart out waiting for someone to take him home and I knew that someone was me.

In reading my web page, I'll show you how I raised my two Cockatiels and loved them at the same time. Cockatiels always make great pets to young, old and are always a great companions! Their funny little creatures but be for you know it, their your best friend.
